Hobo Railroad

train runs through a picturesque, woodsy setting, along the Pemigewasset River in restored vintage coaches. Most trains are narrated. Hobo picnic lunches and ice cream are available. Loon Mountain

The Flume Gorge

The Flume Gorge is one of Franconia Notch’s geological wonders. The Flume Gorge offers a spectacular walk through a natural chasm, over covered bridges and past waterfalls, a scenic pool and mountain views. A free 15-minute movie at the Visitor Center provides a fine introduction to Franconia Notch State Park and the Flume Gorge. Information center, cafeteria, gift shop and interpretive exhibits.

Tour Lost River Gorge

Tour the gorge on boardwalks, following the river as it appears and disappears among the chaotic jumble of glacially scattered boulders. Clamber about the Hall of Ships, stand under Guillotine Rock, slither thru the Lemon Squeezer ( all caves can be by-passed), view lovely Paradise Falls and more. Cannon Aerial Tramway
