Enjoy classic New England Winter Wonderland in a traditonal horse drawn sleigh. You will feel as though you have just stepped into a Currier and Ives painting! Sleigh Rides can be a romantic escape for two (a great way to "pop" the question) or a fun family event filled with songs and hot chocolate.
Nestlenook Farm: Experience the magic of a Winter Wonderland.travel by horse drawn Austrian Sleigh on a path through the woods along the Ellis River enjoying the timeless beauty of a Victorian Estate.ice skating on Emerald Lake, Warm up with hot chocolate in the Fireplaced Gazebo or around Angel Island's bonfire.
The Farm by the River Stables - In Winter, enjoy a "Currier and Ives" experience, right outside our door... on 65 acres of winter wonderland. We offer HORSE DRAWN SLEIGH RIDES. Ride along the river, through the woods and open pastures surrounded by views of the White Mtns. Romantic sleigh rides for two, or group rides are available. Later, step inside and warm up by a roaring fire in the Thompson room.
Darby Field Inn: Step back in time at the Darby Field Inn, with a romantic horse drawn sleigh ride. Experience New England's mid-winter beauty at it's best as your private sleigh for two, pulled by beautiful Welsh Cob or Belgian horses wisps you away through the woods and to a snowy meadow overlooking the Mount Washington Valley. Rides depart and return at our doorstep and are open to houseguests and public alike!
Nighttime rides feature winding paths, romantic moonbeams and stunning star studded sky. Lamps fitted to the sleigh add to the ambiance. Daytime rides feature a spectacular view of Mount Washington. After your half hour ride, complete the evening with a five-course candlelight dinner
