What a great way to relax and enjoy the scenery with your friends and family on one of the areas unique and interesting Railroads. Some have dining cars and sunset rides other offer a short family excursion.
Conway Scenic Railroad: Villager Motel guests are considereed VIP guests. Please ask for your token at check-in. WIith one of our nostalgic train rides of varying duration. Whether you choose one of the Valley routes to Conway or Bartlett, or the legendary Crawford Notch excursion, you'll experience the excitement of rail travel in the comfort of open or enclosed restored passenger cars.
The "Notch Train" and "Valley Train" are both powered by diesel electric locomotives, except for July 4th through Labor Day weekend and late September through mid-October, when the popular steam locomotive #7470 is scheduled to provide the motive power for the North Conway to Conway excursion.

It started with a model railroad which Roger Hartmann owned as a boy. A love of trains that both he and his wife, Nelly have shared has led to the opening of a first-rate museum. For over 20 years, they have been traveling the world collecting old and new railroad items. All ages will delight in seeing the numerous displays, featuring many operating layouts. Closed only on Easter, Mother's day, Thanksgiving and Christmas. The Hartmanns truly offer an enjoyable year-around attraction. Located just 4 miles north of North Conway, NH.
Cog Railway: A ride up Mount Washington on the world's first mountain-climbing cog railway remains, as it has for well over a century, an exciting and unforgettable experience.
