Cross Country Skiing
The Cross Country Skiing is Fabulous in the Mt. Washington Valley whether you are a beginner, traditional or skate skier or your looking for the sweet backcounty this area has it all and the Villager Motel is perfectly located.
We are trailside on the Bear Notch Ski Network. Take that moonlight or early morning ski. We also have a small network of trails down to the scenic Saco River.

Bretton Woods - Based on the grounds of the historic Mount Washington Hotel and the White Mountain National Forest, the Bretton Woods Nordic Ski Area is one of the largest cross country areas in the East. The 100 kilometer trail network follows golf courses, meanders through glades of spruce and fir, passes beaver ponds and mountain streams, and traverses open hardwood stands.

Our trail system at the base of Mt. Washington in the White Mountains is surrounded by spectacular views of the Presidential Mountain Range and is tended to by our highly skilled groomers. Cross-country skiers and snowshoers of every ability can find trails and terrain to match their skills.
Our ski school instructors are dedicated to creating an environment that will provide the guidance and support to help you develop new skills whether you are a novice or a seasoned skier. The Great Glen Junior Development Program returns for its fifth year. This program focuses on technique and fitness development for aspiring skiers and athletes, ages 12-18 years.
